Acer has made its return to the smartphone market with the launch of the Super ZX and Super ZX Pro, both budget-friendly devices. Initially announced in April with a promise to be available for purchase 10 days later, it took the company over a month to officially release them. The Super ZX & Super ZX Pro are now available for purchase on Amazon India.
The Super ZX is an entry-level smartphone featuring a Dimensity 6300 chipset, a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 1080p resolution, and five memory configurations beginning with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Acer claims that the Super ZX is the first phone in its segment to offer a 64 MP camera with AI Image Enhancement, the brightest display, and the fastest chipset in its price range. It also includes a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging capabilities.
The Super ZX Pro enhances the experience with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a Dimensity 7400 chip, and up to 12GB of RAM. It shares the same 64 MP main camera, battery, and fast charging features as the standard model.
The Acer Super ZX is priced starting at $105/€90, while the Acer Super ZX Pro starts at $210/€185.
Why Acer is back?
- Focus on Affordability: The introduction of affordable models like the Super ZX and Super ZX Pro can provide budget-conscious consumers with access to quality smartphones. This is particularly important in markets where price sensitivity is high.
- Focus on Emerging Markets: Affordable smartphones can be particularly beneficial in emerging markets, where many consumers are looking for reliable devices at lower price points. Acer’s offerings can help bridge the gap for these consumers.
