To find an old app we need to use a repo of APKs like APKMirror.com. This “warehouse” of Android executables indexes them very well and contains even quite old versions if not from the very beginning. This tutorial is only valid for BlackBerry models with a QNX-based operating system called BB10 for short. They also contain Android Runtime with API level 16 to 18, meaning compatibility from Android 4.1 to 4.3.1. The same recipe applies to Android smartphones but with the same Level API.
Of all the solutions we’ve tested so far, Magic Earth Navigation & Maps is the navigation app that offers the longest-running support for Android OS system APIs. So we go to the site and do a search by app’s name. Keep in mind that on BB10 devices we have Android Runtime installed for version 4.3.
Major updates for the app existed in late 2022 and early 2023 meaning it leaves behind Android versions with 4.x in the queue. We run as low as possible so you don’t have to make too many installation attempts – uninstall.

Each application version contains multiple application build versions configured according to different architectures. The one we are interested in in this case is armabi-v7a (ARM7). Thus, on the ‘Minimum Version’ column, we also have confirmation of compatibility in relation to Android OS, namely 4.1+.
Once downloaded the APK executable is transferred to the phone (if the download did not take place directly on the phone) and installed. I recommend the internet and GPS to be turned on.
The process must also be identical for the other models in the series with the BB10 operating system: Q5, Q10, Z3, Z10, Z30, P’9982, P’9983, Passport (Q30), Leap (Z20) and Classic (Q20)
For the following models with BlackBerry’s Android OS, much more recent app versions should work depending on which was the last update.
By following these steps, you should be able to install and run APK files on your BlackBerry device with BB10 OS. If you encounter any issues, consider checking compatibility or looking for alternative versions of the app.
